        Fibromyalgia diseases usually coexist in the same patient, although they may occur in a non-simultaneous way. They show no definite pathology and differ only in their description. In some cases, definitions have been consolidated to provide a basis for further study in terms of etiology and treatment. These diseases are most commonly seen in subjects with a history of depression, although depression is not necessarily observed. One of the most recurrent symptoms is sleep disruption, which acts as a kind of thread, especially in patients with a strong combination of different syndromes. These conditions have no established cause. Moreover, there is no reliable scientific data highlighting the development of fibromyalgia following events / exposures in the workplace. This condition occurs more frequently in specific work environments.

        Some doctors prefer not to use the term "fibromyalgia" for this type of chronic pain. The symptoms of fibromyalgia, and not the number of tender points are disabling. However, the severity of symptoms is usually reflected in the degree of sensitivity site. However, there are many other symptoms associated with this disease, including dizziness, headache, fatigue, memory impairment, non-restorative sleep or irritable bladder. These other symptoms are not part of the criteria of the American College of Rheumatology. However, in addition to chronic and diffuse pain lasting more than three months, these other symptoms are almost always observed. As has been stated previously, a high proportion of patients suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome also has features of fibromyalgia.
